Jessica Ahlquist may have won her legal battle to remove an unconstitutional prayer banner from her public school, but that doesn’t mean she can finally resume her everyday life. No, now she’s receiving horrible comments from fellow classmates, community members, and other angry Christians who are very, very offended that their religion no longer has the special status to be forced upon others.

Intolerance is a bitter beast. There are many groups in America that are subject to discrimination and prejudice, but none are more hated than atheists. Research conducted a couple years ago at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis found that atheists are more distrusted than muslims or homosexuals in the US.


Considering that atheist nations are more peaceful, it seems particularly odd that there would be a predilection towards animosity towards atheists. When one group is being discriminated against, it detracts from the freedoms of every group. A society based on tolerance must support the rights of minority groups, including atheists.

The Air Force has suspended decades-old Bible-centric ethics training intended to make Christian officers comfortable with the possible use of nuclear weapons. The training program was given to all new missile officers by Air Force chaplains.


AETC halted the ethics training last week after an article on the training was posted at Truthout.org. Former Air Force Capt. Damon Bosetti — described as a missile officer who took the training in 2006 — said he and others referred to the religious section of the ethics training as the “Jesus loves nukes speech.”

Well it is now May 22, 2011. Jesus never showed up. The Rapture­™ has failed to materialize…or maybe it did happen and we are all the ones left behind. *wink*


Because of this event many things have happened. Christians all over who bought into this bullshit have destroyed their lives over this nonsense. Emptying their savings accounts, their childrens college funds, selling their homes, stopped paying bills – some even killing their pets and at least one woman tried to kill her children over this shit. Do I feel bad for these people? NO, not at all and neither should you. They got what they deserved. If these christians were stupid enough to believe this crap – which lets face it, they were and still are – then whatever their fate becomes over this immense failure is of their own doing.


One thing which would be nice is if this caused all those christians to now, for once in their lives, actually question their faith. Maybe finally wake up and realize that their religious beliefs are stupid and ridiculous, but we all now this isn’t going to happen. They will buy whatever bullshit excuse comes from the failed predictor and convince themselves that “god is testing them” or whatever and just go right on believing in this christian nonsense. I would be willing to bet that they will even fall for the next prediction that comes down the line.


Well with any luck there will at least be some suicides, harsh I know, but the less of these people walking around and voting, the better off the rest of us will be. Either way, when you see the non-raptured christians walking around feel free to point and laugh as they wholeheartedly deserve as much ridicule as possible from this event. I hereby declare May 22nd 2011 – Smack A Christian Day.

For the rest of us I’m sure you have all seen those ridiculous billboards all over the place claiming that the “Rapture” is May 21st. Yes that is correct, Jesus is coming back – he’ll be here next weekend so fire up the grill – he likes hot dogs.
