For those of you who don’t know the Westboro Baptist Church is the worst christian based filth on the planet. Considering that most christians are some of the lowest life forms to begin with, this church and its followers are at the very bottom. They are the ones who hold up signs that say “God Hates Fags” and “Thank God For AIDS”…etc, while standing outside funerals. Mainly they are funerals for military soldiers, but they have tried to protest outside the funerals for little children that have been murdered stateside as well.

The church claims that reasoning that military deaths and murders of children are God’s retribution for the expanding acceptance of homosexuality. Now whether you agree with with the homosexual lifestyle or not, this is just completely absurd. In fact this would push me away from being a christian even more so knowing that if god were to agree with this then he is a real piece of shit. After all, why kill an innocent child because someone else across the country is a homosexual?

Obviously, anyone believing in christianity to begin with isn’t exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer, but if you are buying into the Westboro church’s line of thinking, you are extra retarded.

Nevertheless, this isn’t of course my only problem with this event. When you get down to the root of all this we find the glorious first amendment. Okay, freedom of speech – its a wonderful thing. But whats protected and what isn’t? This is a lengthy debate, I won’t get into it to much except to point out this;

If they have their hate speech protected – does that cover ALL hate speech? What happened to those hate crime laws? Did they just become null and void? If I stand outside of a Synagogue and claim that “Hitler was right!”, is that now protected? If I stand outside the welfare office with a sign that says “Niggers need to get jobs.” Is that now legal? If I scream fire in a crowded movie theater, can I no longer be held accountable? I doubt it, apparently wacko christians have a right to be evil assholes but the courts pick and choose who has what rights – same with everything else these days.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am not in any way claiming that the first amendment should be restricted. I am totally against all hate crime legislation.

But I am not against retribution.

The supreme court says you have a right to protest the funeral of my son or daughter spreading your jesus approved hate speech. But what about my right to attack you for it? I should have the right to throw acid in your face, or douse you in gasoline and light you on fire. Cause if a piece of shit christian ever protested a funeral of one of my family members I’d be sending them all to meet jesus – real fast.

So where does that leave us, well, the world is going to shit. This is pretty obvious. Although I do think it is kind of funny how they all came to the conclusion that this particular form of hate speech – which to me is worse than anything – is completely protected and such – but yet they can’t seem to figure out that second amendment – which is really cut and dry. Oh well, with any luck the planet will be flung into the sun come 2012.

In the mean time, keep an eye on the Westboro Baptist Church – the second one of those scumbags die – we should protest at their funeral.
